FOES Spirit Night at McDonald's in Four Oaks
Thursday, October 27
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This year's National Theme is YOLO (You Only Live Once): Be Drug Free!  As a school we are focusing on the idea that being yourself is much more important than using drugs and to highlight this idea, we want students and staff to look at how developing your talents in the classroom is a much better way to live.  Therefore, we are turning to what we do best (Academics) to drive our Spirit Week.

  • Monday, October 24: I’d Rather be Reading than Using Drugs Day (Dress as your favorite character from a book)
  • Tuesday,, October 25: I’d Rather be Doing a Science Experiment than Doing Drugs Day (Dress as a Mad Scientist to show you are Drug Free!)
  • Wednesday, October 26: I’d Rather be Working Out a Math Problem than Using Drugs Day (Twins Day Wednesday, create multiples amongst yourself, find a friend or friends and dress alike)
  • Thursday, October 27: I’d Rather be a Part of History than do Drugs (Dress as a person from the past; pick a famous American that you think is a good role model)
  • Friday, October 28: I’d Rather be a Four Oaks Cardinal than do Drugs Day (Dress in your Four Oaks Gear or School Colors to show you are drug free)

Making up time missed by:

  • Adding 10 minutes to the instructional day effective October 24, 2016
    • The instructional day beginning October 24 is 8:40-3:50.
  • Making October 31, 2016 a regular school day
  • Reminder that pick up from front office must happen by 3:15
    • This ensures a safe dismissal for our 1,100 students.

This school year, FOE-TV has its own Website managed by FOES students. You can access the Website from the FOES Homepage. Roll over "Student Life" on the top navigation and then select "FOE-TV". There you will find the current and previous newscasts as well as other information.

The event is scheduled on Tuesday, October 4. Students are encouraged to meet at the Four Oaks Baptist Church parking lot at 7:45 AM. Local officials will be on site. The South Johnston High School Band will perform. There are prizes for the students who participate in the walk. The theme is "A Minion Ways to be Healthy", so please wear yellow if possible. This is a national event to promote healthy living. Visit "Walk Bike to School" for more information.
